from 45 Training Packages. These resources are available on CD ROM form and
as downloadable learning objects.

International repositories
Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning Online Teaching (MERLOT)
- a collaborative
consortium of higher education institutions providing a free and open resource
of online learning materials. Members contribute multimedia resources and
provide appraisals and peer review of items. Have developed their own metadata
set and some vocabularies. MERLOT also provides an RSS feed service notifying
latest additions to the database.

Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM) - a U.S Dept. of Education supported consortium to provide educators with
quick and easy access to thousands of electronic resources found on various
federal, state, non-profit and commercial sites. GEM have developed their
own metadata and vocabularies, based on Dublin Core to organise resources
and enhance discovery.
