To assist practitioners and e-learning developers to develop video content, the E-standards team commissioned a Digital Video Principles document which provides a high-level explanation of the fundamentals of digital video, its terminology, production process and encoding parameters.
The document is intended to help inform decisions regarding the use of cameras, editing tools, codecs, players and viewing hardware by providing the underlying theory.
