Accessibility Statement

The E-standards for Training website has been tested with assistive technologies, including screen reader software, and usability issues, including sufficient colour contrast, have been taken into consideration.

Accessibility Features

  • All site images and non-text elements have associated alternative text.
  • Navigational aids are provided on all pages. “Skip to section navigation”, “Skip to content” and “Skip Twitter feed” navigation links have been incorporated to facilitate keyboard navigation, allowing the common repeated navigation to be bypassed. Note: this technique does not work in WebKit browsers (eg Apple Safari, Google Chrome) at the time of writing (October 2011).
  • Link contents are descriptive of their destination, and warn when the destination will open in a new window.
  • Structural markup to indicate headings and lists has been provided to aid in page comprehension.
  • All table data cells are associated with their headers.
  • We are progressively republishing reports with:
    • structural markup and
    • associated alternative text for images.
